Oh my goodness have i ever been dissappointed in anime!
Dubbing is sometimes terrible for getting the ages of the voice actors totally wrong for the characters - ie. the english versions of Chrono Crusade. Rosette and Chrono and ... ALL OF THEM sound like they're whiny little kids! HATED THAT!
As far as dissappointment goes - i wanted to jump out my sisth floor window when i saw the finale of Inuyasha - tell me though, who wasnt dissappointed in that one!? Also, the FMA ending and the movie let me down a little - i still love them, however i wasnt very pleased with how everything ended up.

I can pretty much guarantee that i wouldn't recognize my voice if a recording of it was ever played back to me. I've heard my voice messages left on my answering machine and the voice i hear myself speaking with is totally different than the one played back on the recording. Even if i were to pay attention to the language or wording of the sentences i probably would still not recognize my own voice. Sad really.

im not saying anything for positive here... but I'm almost sure that there will not be an Inuyasha movie five, at least not for a long while yet, if at all. I think that they'd have to work really hard to get it to tie into the anime or even the manga, but following the trend of the IY films.... im not sure.... movie four didnt have any plot connection or place in the series almost at all, so if there was a five.... well they'd be working on that one mighty hard i'd expect.

but as i said... im almost pretty certain that there wont be an Inuyasha film number five

being a rabid reader myself, i have to say that i liked the books better than the films, the movies leave far too many little details and even bigger ones out of the picture completely... like the fact that harry's eyes are supposed to be green - and in the movies, they're most deffinately blue. I also didn't like some of the casting they chose for certain characters, images i had of them from the movies didn't mesh with the ones i got from the books and then vice versa.

however, as i grow as a reader and come to discover higher and higher level literature, i find myself not as drawn to the books for the simple reason that some of rowling's writing comes up as a little basic. Dont get me wrong - i love her to bits, but there could possibly be a bit more room for her to raise the bar on the quality of her language. Other than that, the books remain my favoured media of the harry potter series....

on the other hand though, the films can allow a great group of friends to get togeather for a humongous Harry Potter Marathon that will last all night and part way into the next half of the day... so the movies have their perks too :P

I agree with Cagari, the amount of pointless fillers in Inuyasha is almost shamefull. Dont get me wrong, I'd be completely fine with them if they did anything to develope character relations, say perhaps between inuyasha and kagome, sango and miroku, and even the odd one that sesshoumaru has with jakken and rin. but no... most are just pointless and could be cut away entirely without having any skips in plot developement.

and did anybody else ever wonder where the fourth IY film fit in? I still have no idea - there is no suggestion of a place where it could fit in anywhere.... no plot connection at all. Though i do love the little hanyou children - so very adorable.

Also, i was very unhappy with the ending of fullmetal alchemist - the series was bloody brilliant, but the ending was such a terrible cliffhanger.... thats no place for an artist or director to leave their audience.

f

You could do the Ouroboros from fullmetal alchemist
or for something smaller you could do some of the runes from witch hunter robin - perhaps the ogham wheel.

f

im turning eighteen this december, so really id have to say that youre never too old for anime - i have a friend at work who is in his fifties or sixties and he borroowed my witch hunter robin box set this summer because its his favourite series.
There are series marketed for the young, the teenaged and young adult and then there are the more mature themes that are found in adult titles.(not porn or hentai or any of that)
So i say again - youre NEVER too old for anime.

f

For sure one of my mose favorite anime series, and has been thus for a rather long time. The ending really ticked me off (i HATE cliffhangers) but now the movie is released in canada it ties the whole thing up quite nicely.

f

its green, but its not dye - its been a while since i saw that particular episode...but im pretty sure that was a wig - he pulls it off in a fight, and it was only for that one episode.

f

Right now im watching samurai champloo - very good anime... im also re-watching three amazing series >>>> chrno crusade, fullmetal alchemist, and witch hunter robin.

f

That would be Vincent Valentine.
Because he is freaking amazing. and has the best red cloak ever. and that golden claw. I love how he moves. and the voice.... cant forget the voice.
and yes i realize that im being a total fangirl here but slap me later, just cant get enough of vince valentine
(sung to the sugarcrisp jingle)
oh how sad am i
yes yes... erm, i also love rikku, yuna and yuffie.... but the first two werent in AC (love them anyway) and yuffie had really sort screen time.
But Vincent is definately me favorite character above all others.

f

i love japanese and chinese food like sushi and rice, and i cant remember the name of the dish but its chinese veggies with a certain sauce. i also love italian food like tiramisu, and lasagna. Thai food is amazing also - love that shrimp rice and noodles dish.
loving mexican food too - burritos, tacos, tamales.... oh my
yum yum german food - schnitzel (speling?)
and food from france as well, switzerland and that amazing austrian cake! nougat, marzipan, and chocolate mousse in one freakking amazing piece of cake. Austrian lemonade is amazing as well.... ^^'
(and yea, if you were wondering.... i went to europe this past summer, mexico two years ago, i have italian relatives and my best friend is chinese)

f

Confirming what everyone else has said here, but that is indeed Angel Rabbie from Angelic Serinade yes, the eyes and the hairpins... love them both

Alrightey, because we are only another species of animal really, just with imaginations and opposable thumbs, when mating we usually go for physical appearance.
because of this, we generally gravitate towards the better looking members of the opposite sex, and thats fine. The more flashy the peacock male, the more females he attracts.
hovever, id have to say that appearance is about tewnty percent, the need for your mate to have a good personality makes up the remaining eighty percent. You wouldnt want to be married to a really hot guy or girl, who is a total jerrk and abuses you.
Beauty does fade, but love lasts forever -- CORNY but so TRUE
So looks do play a part in the process because of genetices and the instinct to pick the best looking mate and produce the best looking offspring.
Looks may be what caused two people to introduce themselves, and then over time looks dont really matter anymore when they love eachother and have compatible personalities.

f

hmmmm... are you on dial up or high speed? it may just be the traffic on the site is slowing your computer down if it only does it with Minitokyo, though if its happening all the time you might have a built up of tem folders or tracking cookies in your internet history folders and such.

Erm... yea.... so i have dial up at home and because i live in the country, its really quite slow. Most of the time i have to refresh the page a few times for it to load completely... and when its just being stupid i generally open solitaire or pinball and play that for a bit, or go make a snack if im hungry, i also may bust out some homework and start that if theres a project that i have to do....
because my computer and i have a love/hate relationship.... i tend to yell at it quite often and lose the little amount of patience that i have... because it does like to misbehave. often

f

Oh boy. Definately a hard question to answer...
Well, i'd want to wander with sesshoumaru and rin for a while, then switch and go with Inuyasha, kagome and their little group, i'd love to meet Tsukuyomaru (Bat demon, shiori's father)as well.
Definately hang out with Edward and Alphonse Elric
Also, I'd want to see Rosette and Chrno, deffinately hang out with them for a while.

f

The first episode that made me 'absolutely bawl my eyes out' was the episode in Chrno Crusade where Chrno and Rosette are found at their small cottage, sitting on the frount stoop, leaning togeather and looking so peaceful in their combined deaths.
When Azamaria broke down when she saw them, and then the scene moved to show the two of them togeather, well.... i was done for.
Chrno Crusade is a very deep series and has a lot of profound meaning behind much of it. It made me cry in several places, but that is the episode that i recall the most.

OH, another anime episode that had me in tears was the Fullmetal Alchemist episode when Maes Hughes dies. He is by far one of my favourite characters, next only to edward, roy, and greed. But when he was killed by that humumculous, and then buried... It was so sad how Celia kept asking where did daddy go? Why are they throwing dirt on him? Then when Roy was there ... i think its going to rain today. O GAWD. I dont know how you couldnt cry in that epispde.

f

personally, I'd choose to be wise because a wise person can decide how best to use what intelligence he or she does have, while a person who is only intelligent could be swayed by a bad moral conscience to do harmful things to themselves and/or the world/people around them.
...far better to be wise i think.

As of November ninth this year..... I'll have had my glasses for two whole years. I was only told to wear them for reading, school work, television and comuter work but since I'm almost ALWAYS reading, one the computer or watching TV... I've got them on all the time. I dont really mind having them at all... just sit low on my nose and make me look like a librarian xD

f

I think I'll stick with Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Full Metal Alchemist: Conquer of Shambala, Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke and spirited away

f

im not a guy but i still thought id post here. i definately dont like the idea of piercings or tatoos - then again i'm completely phobic when it comes to needles. sides from that though - many things are permanent - even if you piercings grow in. you need to ask youself if you'll really want that piercing or tat in a few years.

and just a sidenote - Persocom01, you mentioned that you dont like that sort of thiing because youre christian. Man im not trying to be harsh here but dont hide behind a belief if you dont like something - i have many christian friends who have more peircings than you would think possible. Just because you follow a certain religion doesnt mean that you can hide behind it - if you dont like something, speak out because you dont like it, not your religion

f

my gaming consoles consist of PS2, PS, and the original nintendo gaming console, i also have the original gameboy

f
